The Kansas Speedway is the premier racing experience in the Midwest. The 1.5 Mile Tri Oval and 15 degree banking track opened in 2001 and has spured unprecedented economic development in this Northwest area of the Kansas City metro. This stunning $224 Million facility is unparalled as the Kansas Speedway sits on 1,200 acres adjacent to the intersection of I-70 and I-435. With seating for over 75,000 fans and free parking for over 65,000 vehicles this facility is regarded as one of the finest tracks in the country. The track is constructed so that seating can be increased to 150,000 and still keep the entire track in view by every spectator.
The development of the Kansas Speedway created an opportunity to carve a new retail and entertainment destination out of 400 acres adjacent to the track known as Village West. A few of the recent Village West attractions include:

Opening in the fall of 2003 this 712,000 square foot superstore offers the largest selection of funiture, flooring, appliences and electronics in the area.
- The Great Wolf Lodge
This $51.5 Million dollar, 281 Luxury suite destination resort captures the adventure of the Great Northwest in first class. The main attraction is the 38,000 square foot indoor waterpark including two 300 plus feet, three story body slides. With over 60 lifeguards and five pools this facility offers a water park adventure year around.
