2004 Ford Harley Davidson F-250 Super Duty 4X4 Crew Cab

Published 04/08/2004

Before I tell you this is the ultimate truck that I would buy for myself, let me first say that the 2004 Ford Harley Davidson Super Duty 4X4 Crew Cab is outlandish, shameless, and politically incorrect. And yes, I know I am hypocritical in my praise. I denounce suburbanites for needlessly driving extravagant, menacing, gas guzzling SUV's when they really need safer, fuel-efficient wagons and sedans. So my desire for the 2004 Ford Harley Davidson Super Duty is completely hypocritical and testosterone driven.

There simply is no need for me to drive a three-ton, 20-ft long truck capable of towing almost 14,000 pounds. But I want this truck! I'm not sure I would change a thing from my test vehicle, as it is equipped as the ultimate truck on the market today.

The 2004 Ford Harley Davidson Super Duty 4X4 Crew Cab is a sensory experience unlike any other vehicle on the road. In an explosion of sight, sound, smell, and touch, only the sense of taste is missing from a full sensory experience of driving enlightenment.

Emotions run high, starting first with the sense of sight. The audacious combination of Competition Orange and Black invokes the Harley Davidson image of independence and confidence making this a sight to behold. The massive size of a 2004 Ford Super Duty Crew Cab insures that no one overlooks an arrival. Harley Davidson badges on the fenders, wheels, stripes and tailgate reminds everyone this is no ordinary pickup.

No engine speaks in as many voices and languages as a diesel. To some it is an assault on your sense of sound but to me it's a conversation between an engine and driver. Luxury cars want to muffle and silence the discussion between the driver and the engine but just like the distinctive sound of a Harley Davidson Motorcycle, the 6.0 liter diesel speaks it's mind while producing an uncompromising 325 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque. Each variation in acceleration produces a distinctive sound for the task.

In addition to immersing your sense of sound in a masculine symphony from the Diesel engine the distinctive fragrance of diesel exhaust excites the sense of smell. Diesel is a masculine odor common to the road mastering professional.

Black over-stuffed personal leather recliners with Harley Davidson logos fulfill all tactile expectations. Yes, this is a Ford Superduty equipped with springs and heavy-duty suspension yet the ride is amazingly smooth and quiet even when empty.

The sensory experiences of sight, sound, smell and touch bring out emotion in a true truck and motorcycle lover. Representing freedom of the road and the independent spirit, both Harley Davidson Motorcycles and Ford Trucks are as patriotic as the Fourth of July.

The unionized American autoworker has taken its share of criticism over the last few years. Legacy cost of negotiated health care and retirement plans for active and retired autoworkers pose the greatest competitive challenge for American manufacturers competing with Japanese and other foreign companies today. Acknowledging hard working American workers that have built this country with superior products, I don't mind paying for their benefits. I make a statement of support driving this 2004 Ford Harley Davidson Super Duty. Maybe I should be environmentally correct by driving an economy car, but you can tell from the photo of me on the matching Harley Davidson V-Rod that I hate to give this truck back. I'm ready to hook up a toy-box 5th wheel travel trailer with the bike stored in the back and explore American with all my senses. I wouldn't feel as hypocritical if I had the bike and trailer.
